JEF Medical CentreCan you imagine having a tooth ache and being told to come back for treatment in 6 -8 weeks? Would you be prepared to wait 5 -7 years to replace missing teeth? Sadly, close to 200,000 people are on the waiting list for treatment in the public dental health system. For those homeless or less fortunate, they often fall through the system entirely and are not even on the waiting list. Having bad teeth means far more than pain and discomfort. You cannot eat normal food; you don't have the confidence to interact socially, let alone go for a job interview. They can be the cause of major health issues that affect other organs in the body. Bad teeth can result in a loss of self esteem and this can trigger major negative repercussions in a person’s life.
