Rozelle

JEFF's new premises at Rozelle

JEF recently acquired a great facility at Rozelle located within the vast Rozelle Hospital campus. Although it was in really rough shape when we first got hold of it, with the help of some truly dedicated volunteers the place has been transformed into a great place to run JEF's operations. What was a run-down abandoned building just 6 months ago now boasts an commercial, state-of-the-art kitchen, a conference/training area, a computer-training room, a fair amount of storage space, and much more. What's more, it's right on the water! And surrounded by excellent park areas.

Apart from the kitchen facilities where the hundreds of meals are cooked to feed hundreds of Sydney's homeless each night, the Rozelle centre also offers short courses in basic computing and literacy for the homeless. In addition, there are counselling services and various opportunities to get involved in meaningful activities, such as helping out in the JEFF kitchen. Shortly, JEFF will also begin art and hospitality courses.

JEF Christmas Party 2004

The annual JEF Christmas bash for 2004 was held right beside the JEF premises at Rozelle by the water. The guests were treated to a 5-star dinner as well as first class entertainment. Towards the end of the night, Jeff and Santa personally handed top-quality gifts to each one of the guests. Click here for the photos.

Official Opening of Rozelle

On the 13th of September 2003 Jeff held a grand celebration at Rozelle to mark the official opening of the facility. The occassion also commemorated over 10 years of ceaseless service by Just Enough Faith. The event included a moving play, "Destiny's Way" which depicts the lives of four people on the streets and in fact starred several of Sydney's homeless. The cast and crew of "Destiny's Way" will be touring and playing at venues all around NSW in the coming months. Click here for the photos.

Transformation of Rozelle

The Rozelle premises are a god-send, but one could not have been blamed for thinking otherwise when it was first acquired. It has taken countless hours of extraordinary effort by many dedicated volunteers to transform the extremely run-down, over-grown property into the wonderful facility that it is today. Click here for a collection of photos that tell the tale of how Rozelle was transformed.
